Amex Travel & Cruises – How to Find a Bargain on a Cruise

Amex travel is an excellent way to find a bargain on a cruise. The cruise line offers numerous promotions and deals, and you can often get on-board credit and complimentary room upgrades if you use your card to book your trip. As an added benefit, flights booked through your Amex card are covered under the CFAR.

Membership Rewards points are worth.7 cent each towards hotel stays

Membership Rewards points can be transferred to a number of hotel and airline partners. For example, members can use British Airways Avios to fly on American Airlines, and Air Canada Aeroplan to fly on Delta Airlines. There are also many hotel partners such as Marriott Bonvoy, Choice, and Hilton. The points can also be used to upgrade travel and stay in premium cabins at many of these properties.

In order to book travel using Membership Rewards points, one needs to visit the Amex Travel portal. This portal allows you to book flights, hotel stays, and car rentals using your points. The best use for points is for airfare, but it can be worth up to 0.7 cents per point for other travel bookings.

You can transfer points to an American Express travel partner

If you travel a lot or want to save money on your airline tickets, you can transfer points from your American Express Membership Rewards to a partner airline’s loyalty program. The transfer value is generally 1:1. Some partners, like JetBlue, allow you to transfer as little as 250 points. However, you should consider the redemption cost before transferring your points.

American Express Membership Rewards points can be transferred to more than two dozen airlines and three hotel loyalty programs, allowing you to earn rewards for a variety of travel providers. This flexibility allows you to get the most out of your points by taking advantage of the sweet spots offered by different travel programs.

You can redeem points for hotel stays

If you have an Amex credit card, you can redeem points for hotel stays through the Amex Travel portal. You can choose to pay with your points or cash, depending on your preferences. If you use your points to pay for a stay, you’ll earn five times the points as if you had used cash.

Amex has its own travel booking portal that’s easy to use. Once you log in, you can begin searching for flights and hotel accommodations. The Amex Travel portal offers a variety of services to help you book a trip. You can even use your Membership Rewards points to make a hotel reservation. The amount you pay will be charged to your Amex card and the amount credited to your account within 48 hours.

Amex travel offers CFAR coverage for flights booked with an Amex card

Amex travel offers CFAR coverage for a variety of situations, including flight delays and cancellations. The coverage also covers medical emergencies. This coverage includes $1,000 for each medical emergency, and can cover up to two times the amount of the ticket. It also covers lost luggage and basic post-departure services. The coverage is available in various levels, depending on your budget and the length of your trip. For the most basic coverage, the Basic package will provide affordable peace of mind. It offers modest coverage for trip interruption and delays, but includes generous medical coverage and medical evacuation.

The trip cancellation protection offered by the AmEx travel portal provides up to 75% refund on nonrefundable airfare costs. However, this coverage isn’t nearly as comprehensive as other policies. In addition, you will need to prove that you are ill in order to qualify for the benefit.
